Editorial Policy
TelecomHub publishes independent, practical information about broadband, Wi-Fi, mobile connectivity and related technology issues in the UK.
The site is owned and operated by Stuart Harris.
Our editorial approach is designed to make troubleshooting information clear, useful and responsible.
Our editorial principles
Accuracy
We aim to publish information that is accurate and relevant when an article is written or reviewed.
Where information relates specifically to a provider, service, device or network feature, we aim to check important details against appropriate reliable sources, including official provider documentation where relevant.
Clear and practical guidance
Articles should explain problems in straightforward language.
Where troubleshooting steps are provided, they should be presented in a sensible order and should not encourage readers to take unnecessary or unsafe actions.
Independence
TelecomHub is independent from O2 and Sky.
We are not an official support service for either provider and do not present our content as being produced or approved by them.
Sources
Provider-specific information may be checked against official provider information and other reliable sources.
Where useful, articles may include sources or verification notes so readers can understand where important information came from.
We do not copy provider documentation as a substitute for original editorial explanation.
Updates
Technology, network services, device software and provider procedures can change.
We may therefore review and update articles when information becomes outdated or when a significant change affects the guidance.
Where appropriate, articles will show an updated or verified date.
Corrections
If an error is identified, we will review the issue and correct the article when appropriate.
Readers can report factual errors or outdated information by contacting:
Authors and reviewers
TelecomHub will identify authors and reviewers where appropriate.
We will not claim that an article was personally tested, professionally reviewed or independently verified unless that work has actually been carried out.
We will also not invent qualifications, professional credentials, reviews, ratings, testimonials or testing results.
Commercial relationships
TelecomHub is currently not monetised.
If advertising, affiliate relationships, lead generation or another commercial arrangement is introduced in the future, the relevant relationship will be disclosed clearly and editorial decisions will remain separate from commercial arrangements.
Provider information
Provider names may be used to identify the services discussed in an article.
TelecomHub does not claim to represent, speak for or provide official customer support for O2, Sky or any other provider.
Readers who need account-specific assistance may need to contact their provider directly through its official support channels.
